Goosebumps

Opened my computer to this article this morning.  My love for Turkey is severely tempered.  All of the sweet old men drinking çay together at all hours in the street warm my heart, but I continue to wonder what is going on with their family life...  I am shocked by the news of this violence but also not surprised that a deep-seated misogyny is at play in Turkish life.
