Saw this on on tavi's blog. Mary and I were talking the other day about the death of punk and Westwood came up. Punk is her claim to fame, but she is really an icon of a timeless style. There was a big exhibit of her designs at the de Young a few years ago and that was one of the things that really got me interested in fashion. She is clearly so intelligent, empathetic, and aware.
