A while ago Electric Works gallery in San Francisco had a show of the photography of Katherine Westerhout. It was over a year ago; I went with my mom and Annie and her mom. I remember her work vividly. Looking back now, I would say she is actually one of the biggest influences on my photography today. She photographs abandoned places all over the country, but many in the Bay Area. Her photographs are taken with a large format camera and printed large. Take a look at her website.
